Temporary road closure – Northerly Street adjacent to Yebble Drive, Vasse

The City has been advised by the developer that temporary traffic changes will be in place to facilitate construction works associated with Stage 6D of the Vasse Village subdivision. 

Please note:

This temporary closure is not related to the recent community consultation process with regard to a proposal for a potential permanent closure of Northerly Street.

The outcome of that consultation was that the Council decided NOT to support a permanent closure of Northerly Street at its meeting on Wednesday 10 June 2026.

The upcoming temporary closures detailed below are only to enable works to occur during June and July 2026.

Location: Northerly Street adjacent to Yebble Drive, Vasse (between Yebble Drive and Kaloorup Road)

Dates: 29 June to 28 July 2026 (weather permitting) 

To minimize impacts on school traffic, works are expected to occur in two stages:

  • Monday 29 June – Monday 13 July 2026: Stop/Go temporary traffic management in place
  • Tuesday 14 July – Tuesday 28 July 2026: Full temporary road closure in place

Works include construction of a new road (Berkeley Drive) and widening of the pedestrian crossing on Northerly Street. Traffic management and detour signage will be in place for the duration of the works.
