Published on Friday, 17 April 2026 at 11:49:10 AM

The City of Busselton will be undertaking footpath and kerbing upgrade works at the intersection of Bussell Hwy and West Street. The project will involve a new paving and kerb as well as improved pram ramps to increase safety.

To minimise disruption to residents, businesses and daytime traffic volumes, construction will be undertaken at night. These works will be undertaken in accordance with an approved Noise Management Plan under Regulation 13 of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 to manage noise emissions during the construction process.

Works are scheduled to commence on 28 April 2026, with completion planned over six nights. Construction activities will generally occur between the hours of 7:00pm and 6:00am in the evening.

The intersection will be closed during the essential works with detours. Temporary traffic management measure will be in place for the duration of the works, and some delays may occur.

The City appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are completed. For further information regarding these works, please contact the Civil Works Team at the City of Busselton on (08) 9781 0444 or via email at city@busselton.wa.gov.au.
