Published on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 at 1:16:54 PM

The City of Busselton will be undertaking footpath and kerb replacement works along Melaleuca Drive, between Queen Elizabeth Avenue and Fairway Drive. The project aims to address the aging and damaged sections of asphalt path and improve pedestrian safety and access.

The scope of works includes the removal of the existing asphalt path and replacement with a 3.0 metre wide concrete path from the back of the kerb line, replacement of sections of damaged kerbing, and drainage pit lid replacements.

Works are scheduled to commence at the end of September 2025, with an expected duration of approximately 4 weeks, subject to weather conditions. Working hours will generally be from 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Driveways will be reinstated to connect seamlessly with the new path, and all reinstatements within the verge will be undertaken by the City to return the area to its pre-works condition.

Temporary traffic management will be in place at all times during work hours. Personnel and spotters will be on site to assist residents in safely accessing their properties.

There are existing bus stops located within the work site, access to these stops will be maintained at all times. Any bus-specific enquiries should be directed to the Public Transport Authority (PTA).
