Upcoming Coastal Maintenance Works

The City will be undertaking a series of scheduled sand nourishment and beach maintenance works across several local sites in the coming weeks. These works are part of ongoing efforts to maintain beach accessibility and protect coastal areas from erosion.

There will be heavy machinery in use, so please take extra precaution and avoid these areas during the works if possible.

Dunsborough (Vincent Street)

Date: Commencing 17 November 2025
Duration: Approximately 5–7 days
Volume: 1,500–2,000m³ of sand

 

Abbey Boat Ramp (Beach to East)

Date: Commencing 26 November 2025
Duration: Approximately 5 days
Volume: 1,500–2,000m³ of sand

 

Broadwater Beach (Norman Road)

Date: Commencing 3 December 2025
Duration: Approximately 5 days
Volume: 1,500–2,000m³ of sand

 

Please note there will also be restricted access at Quindalup professional fisherman boat ramp (week of 17 November) and Georgette St sea rescue boat ramp (week of 24 November) as heavy machinery will be present to reclaim sand for use in the above locations.
