- The vacant position on Council created by Cr Riccelli’s departure will be filled by Richard Beecroft
- Mr Beecroft will be sworn in on 19 February 2024
Following the resignation of Councillor Sue Riccelli on 29 January 2024, Richard Beecroft will be sworn in next Monday, 19 February 2024.
Under reforms to the Local Government Act 1995, Mr Beecroft was offered the vacant position on Council as the next unelected candidate. Mr Beecroft will serve for the remainder of Cr Riccelli’s four year term, with his term expiring in October 2027.
Mayor Phill Cronin said “On behalf of the Council I welcome Mr Beecroft to the team and look forward to working with him.”
